Artistic capturing through a predominately documentary, candid style.

I aim to mirror the style of the lead (so by all means, let me know if you're aiming for bright and airy, moody, etc), but I personally have an appreciation for moodier images and lean heavily on OFC during the reception. I love a candid-heavy set and try to prioritize keeping the couple present in the moment.

Socially, I'm a hyperbolic and chatty queer filled with an endless supply gregarious compliments that couple's seem to love.

Attire

I'm rarely the vendor that dresses in black from head to toe. I normally wear business casual - a dress shirt and khakis, sometimes a tie. If you are that vendor that wants their team all in black, I can certainly do that with advance notice.

Tattoos

While it has never been a problem when I'm shooting, I am heavily tattooed. I'm flagging this so you can keep this in mind if your clientele tend to lean a bit more conservative or traditional.

My cameras take x2 SD cards each.

I prefer leads provide me with x4 SD cards at the start of the wedding. At the end of the night I'll return all cards.

After difficulty coordinating card returns with leads or hours spent on massive file transfers, I currently will not shoot exclusively on my cards.

If there's not an opportunity to hand me cards before the wedding, you can order or mail me cards prior to the event. I can send you my personal address for the cards to be mailed to.

If I'm associate shooting (and therefore not seeing you before the event), please mail me x2 SD cards (at least 64 gb each) in advance with a self addressed and stamped return envelope. I'll load each camera with x1 of your cards and x1 of mine. I'll mail yours back and hold onto mine as back ups until you confirm that you were able to download them without issue.

I'll format all cards before shooting and synch to the World Clock.

I'm always grateful to the photographers who allow me to use some images for my portfolio, but I recognize that this is not the norm (though let's be real, I have so much of my own editing, would I ever actually sit down to edit images from a wedding I didn't lead? Probably not). Unless otherwise stated, my default assumption is that I am not allowed to use the images shot alongside you in anyway.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I do often share behind the scenes cell phone pictures or videos on my Instagram that shows the venue. I try to always tag the lead photographer (I normally caption with, "Second shooting with Katlyn (insert handle) at the Log Cabin! Can you believe this sunset?" If you don't want me to do that, please let me know! I'm happy to also directly send behind the scenes images and videos to you for your own social media promotion.
